I’m taking on the Fire Walk to raise vital funds for Wigan and Leigh Hospice—an incredible place that cared for both of my grandparents with dignity, compassion, and love.

In February 2024, my grandad, Ken Derbyshire, passed away at the hospice in Wigan. During his short stay, the staff ensured he was never alone, with family always around, informed, and by his side. They treated him with respect and supported us through an incredibly difficult time, allowing us to say goodbye in comfort and peace.

I’ve been looking for a meaningful challenge to give something back—and when I came across the Fire Walk, I knew it was the perfect (and slightly crazy!) way to do just that.
