Story
I have chosen to take part in “step forward in September” 30 mile walk in 30 days for cystic fibrosis.
This cause is very close to my heart as my son Theo was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis at 3 weeks old.
Cystic fibrosis is a disease that causes the body to produce abnormally thick mucus, impacting the lungs, digestive system, and other organs. This also means Theo can’t digest fats in his diet and therefore has medication every time he eats to help him gain weight. He’s monitored very closely by regular calls and trips to hospital. To make sure Theo keeps healthy we do daily physical activities to keep his lungs clear of mucus build up and also different medicines throughout the day. Without the support of this charity and its ongoing research the drugs that save Theos life everyday wouldn’t exist.
Medication is improving by the years and cystic fibrosis trust and us as a family have hope for a cure in the future! Every pound we raise directly contributes to ensuring that more people with CF and their families like us can truly live a life unlimited. We couldn’t be more prouder of Theo! He truly is the bravest boy we know.
Any donations that are made is a big help and one step closer to finding a cure! Thank you 💛💛💛
