I have chosen to join The Key this year as the work and efforts they do to help young people, who have had experienced challenges in life is something that should not be ignored. In a challenging world for everyone, we need to help those who need it most.

The Key exists to inspire young people to believe in themselves, especially those living in deprived communities of the North East and who are facing challenging personal circumstances. Using our skills development challenge, we empower young people to:

• Use their voices and be heard

• Lead and deliver activities that matter to them

• Build skills and confidence needed to thrive

• Become active in their community
