Antiphospholipid syndrome (APS) is an autoimmune condition in which there is an increased tendency for the blood to clot. The condition can cause strokes, heart attacks, pulmonary emboli and DVTs. In pregnancy, APS is a leading cause of recurrent miscarriage and stillbirth.

Story

In April 2027, I’m running the London Marathon in memory of my late father-in-law, Paul Sikora.

I’m raising funds and awareness for APS Support UK. Antiphospholipid Syndrome (APS) is a rare, life-altering autoimmune condition that causes dangerous blood clots. Because it is often misdiagnosed and widely unrecognised, APS Support UK relies entirely on donations to fund research, educate doctors, and support affected families.

Every mile of training and every donation goes directly toward helping others affected by this condition, in Paul’s memory.

Any support, whether a donation or sharing this page, means a great deal to our family. Thank you!
