On Sunday, my friend Bea and I will be attempting to run the TCS London marathon. We are running to raise money for Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice Care in honour of James Sinclair, my wonderful dad, who died in July 2023 as a result of motor neurone disease (MND). Throughout the year following my dad’s diagnosis, Phyllis Tuckwell’s brilliant staff and volunteers provided care and practical support that allowed him to continue to live at home and to go out and about making the most of his remaining time.
