Story
I’m walking in support of my neighbour and good friend Steve who’s Son Daryl so bravely fought a brain tumour, St Joseph’s was a massive part of his care towards the end of his life and the staff and volunteers just go above and beyond to make every patient visitor and family member feel so at ease and cared for.
I'm taking on the Great East End Walk to raise vital funds to support St Joseph's Hospice. This unique 10-mile walk, celebrating all things East End, will take me through both well-trodden and lesser-known parts of London's East End and into the City of London.
St Joseph's Hospice is reliant on the kindness of supporters to provide high quality, specialist palliative care and support to people in the East London community who have a life-limiting illness. To keep this service going they have to raise £16,000 each day! For example, £101 could pay for a community nurse to visit a patient in their own home, and ensure their vital services can continue. Please do give generously!
