This year I will be participating in the Under 21's category at the Parish Walk for Hospice Isle of Man.

In its 41st year, Hospice IOM continues to be at the heart of palliative patient care on the island as well as supporting close family and friends. Last year, Hospice provided direct care for 46% of IOM deaths.

Like many, Hospice IOM have cared for members of my close family through the toughest times. Although this is my first time competing in the Parish Walk, I am determined to get to Peel (32.5 miles). I do however understand that since illness from COVID, this is going to be a challenge for me. I hope that by completing this milestone I can provide a personal contribution to support the future of Hospice and the care they will provide for many Manx families.
