Story
I’m raising money for Early Years Scotland, a charity I’m proud to support through my volunteering at the Family Visitor Centre in HMP Low Moss.
Early Years Scotland works to give every child the best possible start in life, supporting families through the critical early years of a child’s development. In the visitor centre, I see first-hand how important that support can be—especially for children and families affected by imprisonment.
For many families, visiting a loved one in prison can be a difficult and emotional experience. Early Years Scotland helps make that process more child-friendly, safe, and supportive. The Family Visitor Centre at Low Moss provides a welcoming space where children can feel comfortable, play, and simply be children, even in challenging circumstances.
The charity also offers guidance and emotional support to parents and caregivers, helping them maintain strong, positive relationships with their children. By supporting families to stay connected, Early Years Scotland plays a vital role in improving outcomes for children, reducing trauma, and helping break cycles of disadvantage.
Every donation, no matter the size, helps continue this important work—supporting children, strengthening families, and making a real difference in people’s lives.
Thank you so much for your support.
