Story
Dad told me to keep on walking, and I shall because I can, and won’t give up! He never did.
My dad passed away on 1st August 2024. He was an incredibly brave man, having faced kidney failure and transplant 35 years ago, and more recently many skin cancers. It was these that over the past year spread into his body and his brain. St Luke’s provided his care at the end of his life, whilst he was at home there was no hesitation on their part to come out whenever we called, no matter what time of day. Raising money in his memory for St Luke’s will allow them to do the same for others.
In October 2024 my Mum, sister and myself took part in the St Luke’s Loop, and I completed the Kent Downs 50km. Together we raised over £1,300 for St Luke’s in Dad’s memory, but they need funds all the time. So I thought I’d do the Bath 29km Challenge on their behalf, as well as it being training ahead of the 2025 Isle of Wight 50km loop (amongst other challenges). I am also participating in the St Luke’s Test Track 10 in May.
