Future Dreams is raising funds to support women through their breast cancer journey.

FD works on a number of campaigns to create awareness and fund research projects, with a main focus on secondary breast cancer.

Over 50,000 people are diagnosed with breast cancer in the UK every year, the equivalent of one person every 10 minutes according to Breast Cancer Care. To date Future Dreams has raised over £5m pledging funds towards the charities three aims - support, awareness and research, focusing on secondary breast cancer.

As a medical oncologist, treating breast cancer, I have seen first hand the impact that FD House has on affected individuals. FD House provides a beautiful space for individuals with breast cancer to meet, access practical advice and support, as well as holistic therapies and much more. Importantly, it is a space where peer support offers a unique understanding of the experience of breast cancer.

On the 5th October 2024, I am taking on the South Downs Challenge to raise money for FD. This is a half marathon trek along the stunning South Downs. Please support FD by sponsoring me on this challenge!
