Charity Skydive 2023 · 4 June 2023

Brake is a national road safety charity that cares for road victims and campaigns for safer roads for all. Brake's National Road Victim Service is a specialist support service to help families cope with the shock, turmoil and devastation that road crashes cause families across the UK every day.

Story

There are 5 people that die on our roads every day and hundreds more are seriously injured. 20 years ago my mum was one of these 5. She passed away in a road traffic collision which wasn't hers or anyone else's fault.

BRAKE is a national charity that leads national campaigns and works with local communities to raise awareness of road safety and take action to make their roads safer. Each year they support and run the Road Safety Week across schools, workplaces, and the general community.

More importantly, BRAKE is there to support those bereaved and seriously injured by road crashes by providing case workers, guidance, legal support, and help those wanting to memorialise a loved one or campaign for road safety.

On 4th June this year, I am taking a leap of faith, at 10,000ft, and skydiving for BRAKE to help raise money to support all those, like myself, who have been bereaved or seriously injured by road accidents.

This is a cause extremely close to my heart and I would really appreciate any donations, big or small, to help me obtain my fundraising goal. Thank you all in advance, if you choose to donate or just read about my cause.
