Emma's fundraiser for Motor Neurone Disease Association

Emma Wass is raising money for Motor Neurone Disease Association

Team: Andrew's Hadrian's Wall Relay for Motor Neurone Disease Association

Team relay of Hadrian’s Wall · 6 June 2026

Motor Neurone Disease moves fast. It takes away time, it takes away independence and it has no cure. Every day we support people affected by MND. We fund ground-breaking research. We campaign for better care. We’re here for everyone who needs us. Because with MND, every day matters.

Story

I am raising money to support my friend Andrew who in December 2025 was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease.

Along with BBC colleagues and Andrew’s friends and family I will be taking part in a relay along the length of Hadrian's Wall over the weekend of the 5th, 6th and 7th of June 2026. I plan to do one leg on 6th June from Steel Rigg to Housesteads and the final leg on 7th June Millenium Bridge to Segedunum.

As a group we are determined to raise a huge amount to fund vital research and provide care and support for people living with MND and their families. This is the very least we can do for our lovely friend. If you can donate, it would mean a great deal to me and to everyone taking part.

Thank you so much, and if you fancy coming to walk with us, or cheer us on, please let me know! ❤️
