Mount Toubkal 2026 · 21 October 2026 to 25 October 2026 · Start fundraising for this event

This incredible adventure through the Atlas Mountains will challenge participants while supporting the Hospice’s essential care for local people and their families. Together, we can make every step count.

Story

"Emma" St Catherine’s Hospice is a place I’ve always had awareness of as it is based locally to where I grew up.

Over the years I have known several people who have received end of life care from St Catherine’s, and that care extended to those people’s families too, all of whom cannot praise the staff enough for the efficiency, help and support they and their loved ones received during very dark and difficult times.

With my husband now working there, it has given me a greater awareness and understanding about the work St Catherine's does, and how important it is that the fantastic support and patient care that St Catherine’s provides, can continue.

I’ve attended several St Cath's fundraising events, these events and the people I’ve met, have inspired me to want to do something more to help ❤️

I have a passion for the great outdoors so aligning with this the forthcoming Trek to Mt Toubkal in the Atlas mountains was the obvious next big challenge to aim for.

Your support and donations are greatly appreciated as hospice care across the country continues to require over 75% of its income via self fundraising with less than 25% coming from NHS/Government funding.

Training has now begun on what is going to be 6 months of dedication, working towards summiting the highest peak in Northern Africa this October.
