Why I’m Raising Money

Hi everyone, I’m Emma, and I’m stepping into the boxing ring for the first time ever as part of Ultra White Collar Boxing (UWCB) – all to raise vital funds for Mountain Rescue England & Wales. My goal? To raise £7,500 for this incredible charity that saves lives every single day.

The Challenge

Ultra White Collar Boxing isn’t just about stepping into the ring for one fight – it’s a gruelling eight-week training programme where I’ll be pushing my limits, learning discipline, and preparing for the ultimate test of strength, resilience, and courage. As someone who has never boxed before, this is completely outside my comfort zone. But I’m doing this because I believe in the cause.

Mountain Rescue teams are made up of incredible volunteers who drop everything – day or night, in all weather conditions – to rescue people in danger in the mountains, hills, and remote landscapes of the UK. They are entirely funded by donations, meaning every penny raised truly makes a difference.

Why This Matters

Imagine being lost, injured, or stranded in the middle of nowhere, with no way to get to safety. These volunteers are the lifeline for climbers, hikers, and anyone who finds themselves in trouble. They risk their own safety to save lives, and I want to do everything I can to support them.
