In 2026, an estimated 45,000 people will receive a cancer diagnosis in Ireland. That's 120 people every day and 5 people every hour hearing the words "you have cancer" throughout the country.

As most of you know, my mum died of ovarian cancer in 2018 and the Irish Cancer Society has been a charity I've supported over the years.

On the 27th of September, I'm taking on the Berlin Marathon and would like to raise as much as possible for this very worthwhile charity. To add extra excitement for the event, this is my final marathon of the Big 6 World Marathon Majors. So, no pressure to get to the finish line!
