Thank you for taking the time to visit my fundraising page. My name is Emmy and I’m 17 years old. I’m running the Southampton 10K to raise money for the Long Covid Kids Charity who’ve been very supportive of my sister, Rachel, throughout her battles with fatigue, brain fog and tachycardia (amongst many other challenges). Since contracting Long Covid in 2020, Rachel has faced many obstacles including: the setback from other viruses, the side-effects of new meds and the constant stress of managing her energy levels.

Personally, it’s been a really difficult change from being able to run around playing games with my sister to now pushing her in a wheelchair. Rachel is amazingly resilient, but every time she has a setback it’s easy to feel helpless. By running to support others in the same situation as my sister I’m hoping to do something positive.
