Emily's fundraiser for The Newman Holiday Trust

Emily Oke is raising money for The Newman Holiday Trust

Em's Student Showcase 2026 · 28 June 2026

Established in 1981, the Newman Holiday Trust began by running a one week summer holiday for children with special needs. The Trust now provides holidays for about 130 children with special needs aged four to sixteen each year, in various locations around the UK. Due to the high level of skilled care they require or financial circumstances, the children selected for these breaks would not otherwise receive a holiday. The holidays provide a range of fun activities in a safe and supportive environment and use a care ration of one helper to one child at all times. The Trust is an entirely voluntary organization and owes its success to over 200 people who dedicate their free time to helping these children. This voluntary structure ensures that every penny raised goes directly towards a child's holiday.

Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit this page!

The Newman Holiday Trust is a week long holiday (free of charge!) where children with special needs and disabilities get the opportunities of a lifetime surrounded by people who celebrate and support them to reach their very best. The Newman Holiday Trust runs 7 holidays across the UK in the summer holidays, which can only run with enough funding and donations. Without these essential fundraising activities, children may miss out on this incredible opportunity.

The Newman Trust and myself are eternally grateful for any donations to this charity, it changes lives and is something I count down the days until each year!

My piano and singing students also love to fundraise for this charity as they can see the good that it does!
