Information on the charity
The Railway Benefit Fund, also known as RBF, is a charity which provides support to current, former and retired railway people and their families across the UK.
The charity offer help to those who need it and have been doing so since 1858.
Help is offered in the form of financial grants and confidential advice, to online tools and a legal helpline, the charity provide a range of services designed to support you through life’s unexpected events.
The assistance of the charity extends not just to those working in passenger rail, but also to the wider rail supply chain, as well as freight and ancillary services. The charity assists those working within these industries and their wider families.
In addition the charity works alongside:
• The National Suicide Prevention Alliance
• The British Red Cross.
They have signed both the Railway Mental Health Charter and the Women in Rail, Railway Industry Association Charter for EDI.
