Story
12,000 patients are treated in Nottingham hospitals every day. To represent this incredible number, our team is aiming for each person to complete 12,000 steps a day in May, with 25 people taking part!
To make the challenge even more exciting, we have created teams who will compete against each other throughout the month, and we’ll be sharing regular progress updates so everyone can see how we’re getting on.
Our Teams:
The Walkie Talkies
The Strolling Stones
Stride for Success
The Fast and Footious
Not Fast Just Furious
Red Hot Chilli Steppers
Nottingham University Hospitals Charity supports patients, visitors, and staff across Queen’s Medical Centre, City Hospital, Ropewalk House, and the Children’s Hospital.
Our fundraising focuses on two key areas. First, the charity’s general fund, which allows support to go where it’s needed most — improving ward environments, staff wellbeing, patient spaces, essential equipment, and small changes that make a big difference.
Second, we are proud to support dementia care through Care Express, helping create safer, more welcoming wards, providing specialist staff training, meaningful activities, and therapies that promote dignity, comfort, and wellbeing.
Together, we can make everyday improvements that truly matter across our local hospitals.
