ENDO1000 is a research project that will collect data and biological samples from 1000 individuals with endometriosis. The resulting resource will allow much needed research into the development of personalised care for women with endometriosis.

Story

Before I go any further can I just say that you are welcome to donate as little as £1 and you and your donation can be anonymous…

David and Emma are raising money for Endo 1000, a research project for Endometriosis. The fundraising needs to raise £1million to include all 1000 women in the study. We’re aiming to raise £1,000, and have decided to wrap the whole thing into a “1,000 challenge”:

£1,000 raised.

1,000km travelled.

1,000 minutes.

Oxford to Marazion and back is almost exactly a 1,000km round trip and, rather wonderfully, it’s possible to do the whole thing — rail journey, race and return — in almost exactly 1,000 minutes.

Why ENDO1000?

Emma has been a sufferer of Endometriosis for a long time and had surgery earlier this year for deep endometriosis, endo on her rib and Adenomyosis. Endometriosis is a really painful condition and impacts most areas of my life (even post-surgery) and research like this is needed. The aim of the ENDO1000 project is to accelerate discovery and advance data-driven research into endometriosis diagnosis and treatment, paving the way for a brighter future for women affected by endometriosis.
