💛💛💛Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page💛💛💛

5th October this year I'm going to be doing a skydive from 10,000ft above Salisbury, and all for the most amazing of reasons! Please, please, please take a moment to read what I have to say, and any donations at all will be mean the world for not only me, but the wonderful charity Endometriosis South Coast.

Who am I doing it for?

Endometriosis South Coast is an amazing charity that provides support for people going through the diagnosis stages of Endometriosis and Adenomyosis or anyone who has been diagnosed with these conditions.

Endometriosis is a full body chronic pain condition listed as one of the top 20 most painful diseases of all time. Currently we don't know what causes Endometriosis, there is no cure and the average diagnosis time in the UK ranges from 4 to 11 years.

During diagnosis periods, sufferers will ensure years of medical gaslighting, being told they are 'over-reacting', that it's 'all in their head and nothing is wrong.

Why do I care?

Those closest to me will already know that back in 2022 I was diagnosed through lapiscopic surgery with endometriosis after displaying symptoms since 13 years old and doctors not doing enough to find the cause of my pain.

Since then I've had to come to terms with living with chronic pain alone, with no help or usable advice from medical professionals. My only support was my family and closest friends who still don't fully understand what I'm going through, but I'm so grateful for their efforts.

My greatest refuge has been Endometriosis South Coast. The Facebook group has provides a space to share our struggles, tips and tricks and support one another through our journey's. The face to face group has given the opportunity to sit in a room with other women who truly understand everything I'm going through and can relate to my pain on every level. They truly are the light in my endo journey tunnel, and I will never be able to fully express the extent of my gratitude for everyone who makes the charity run and every woman in the support group that made me feel understood.

Why should you care?

1 in 10 women are affected by endometriosis. That means you almost certainly know someone whose life has been impacted by daily pain caused by this disease. You may know who they are or you may not because the stigma and taboo surrounding women health conditions is still so prevelant we don't feel we can speak freely about our ongoing struggles.

Any donations would be greatly appreciated!

If anything on this post has peaked your interest, please feel free to message me. If you want more information on the charity, endometriosis or women's health in general, please drop me a message and I'll be more than happy to point you in the right direction.
