Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

enGauged have entered a team in the Railway Benefit Fund Station to Station challenge. There are 16 teams of six people from Armaro, RIA, Cross Country, Freightliner, Porterbrook, Clemtech, RSSB, VTG, Furrer + Frey, Railpen and RBF. As a collective, our challenge is to walk between Inverness and Glasgow taking in 23 stations across Scotland, Wales and England over a 3 week period....... and we smashed this in 3 days!

Its now down to the overall aim to raise funds for the great work RBF do, and of course, the pride in our position on the teams leaderboard!

To that end, the team at enGauged have organised a charity walk to boost our step count. On Tuesday 7th May, the enGauged team will be attempting to walk part of the Conwy Valley Way, using the services of our friends at Transport for Wales. We will be setting off from Crewe Station early on the Tuesday morning with the aim of reaching Betws-y-coed to start a walk back north to Tal-y-cafn. For those interested, this is ELR LJT1 15m 02ch to 5m 05ch – 9m 77ch in railway terms. We will not be walking track miles clearly (although our MD recalls walking the route seeking out culverts in the late 1980’s). We will be using public rights of way, mainly to the west of the river Conwy. This will total nearly 15 miles. We are also challenging ourselves to do the round trip from Crewe in 12 hours start to finish.

Thank you for your support!
