Story
On the 27th April Donna, Kirsten, Paul and Reece will be running the Manchester Marathon relay to raise money for the Phil Hancey Squash Fund.
Phil Hancey was a dedicated and much-loved husband, father, friend and colleague, who sadly passed away in January 2022 following his battle with cardio angiosarcoma. He was an avid squash player and wanted to leave a legacy to support other people who share his passion. In particular, Phil wanted to help aspiring young players and people who may need a little help to start or keep playing the game.
With Phil’s vision in mind, the Aiimi team partnered with England Squash to create The Phil Hancey Squash Fund in his memory. The fund supports both talented young players and the wider community through two funding opportunities. We have given out over 50 grants now and are looking to add more money to the fund pot so that we can continue supporting people and communities to play the sport that Phil loved so much.
To do this, 4 of the Aiimi team will be taking place in the MK Marathon relay and 4 members of the England Squash Team are running the Manchester Marathon relay. Any donations will go to the England Squash Foundation to be used to support squash players and communities via the Phil Hancey Squash Fund.
