Syed Taalay Ahmed Memorial Shield Tournament 2026
Supporting Lives Through Faith, Football & Community
F&F are proud to be raising funds through the Syed Taalay Ahmed Memorial Shield Tournament 2026, taking place in Hartlepool at High Tunstall College of Science- the school where Taalay himself studied. This annual tournament is more than just football; it is a way to honour a remarkable life while making a real difference to people both locally and internationally.

Why We Are Fundraising
Since 2023, we have raised over £12,000 through the tournament for a number of charitable causes, including The Syed Taalay Ahmed Scholarship, YMCA and Humanity First. This year, we are proud to be raising money for three meaningful causes:
1. Syed Taalay Ahmed Scholarship
A lasting legacy initiative that supports underprivileged young people in Ghana in accessing education, helping them fulfil their potential - just as Taalay was passionate about empowering others.
2. Alice House Hospice
A vital local charity providing compassionate care and support for individuals with life-limiting illnesses, as well as their families across Hartlepool and surrounding areas.
3. Hartlepool Baby Bank
Supporting families in need by providing essential items for babies and young children, ensuring every child has the best possible start in life.
Alice House Hospice and Hartlepool Baby Bank have been selected as the official charities of the Hartlepool Mayor for 2026, making this year’s fundraising effort even more significant for the local community.
