Enigma Interactive's May Reading Challenge for Children's Cancer North

We are here to make life better for children with cancer. For as long as families in the North East and Cumbria are affected by childhood cancer, we will invest in revolutionary research to find cures and kinder treatments and ensure those directly affected get the support they need.

Story

May the Words be with You 📚🌠

This May, the Enigma Interactive team is taking on a reading challenge that’s out of this world - all in support of Children’s Cancer North.

We’re calling it May the Words Be With You: read more, donate what you can, and help make a real difference for children and families affected by cancer.

🌌 How does it work?

Throughout May, we’ll all be reading whatever we like, in whatever way works for us. No rules. Reading what you’re into, and going all in for the National Year of Reading 2026. Everyone sets their own reading pledge - then donates or gets sponsored to complete it.

Here are some ideas…

• 📖 Read 2 books in May

• 📄 Read 500 pages

• 🔁 Re-read an old favourite

• 🆕 Try a new author or new genre

• 🎧 Finish one audiobook

• 📰 Read a news article or blog every day

• ⏱️ Read for 10 minutes a day

If it involves words, it counts.

⭐ Why it matters

Children’s Cancer North supports children and families across the North East and Cumbria, providing practical, emotional and financial help when they need it most.

This challenge is about doing something interesting and fun (and did you know that reading supports your wellbeing and makes you more intelligent?), to support families in very tough circumstances.
