Story
What We're Doing:
Following the success of last year's "Kayaking" Charity Event, the Ensinger Apprentices are back with another exciting challenge! This year we will be mountain biking an impressive 40km around the scenic route of Minehead and Wootton Courtenay with a combined altitude of an impressive 5000ft.
About the Challenge:
This cycle route will not just be a physical test but also a mental one. The route will take us through stunning but demanding off-road terrain, requiring teamwork, endurance, and determination. This 40km journey will push us out of our comfort zones, but we are committed to making every pedal count for a cause that means so much to us.
Starting in Minehead, we’ll follow the scenic coastal route toward Porlock, enjoying some truly spectacular views along the way. From there, we’ll loop back through Porlock Weir, continue on to Wootton Courtenay CP, take a turn at Dunster, and complete the full circuit back to Minehead.
Why We're Doing It:
This year, our dedicated apprentices have chosen to support Alzheimer’s Society, a charity close to many of our hearts.
By taking on this challenge, we aim to raise both awareness and crucial funds to aid in the support, care, and research efforts carried out by the Alzheimer’s Society.
About the Charity:
Alzheimer’s Society is the UK’s leading dementia charity, dedicated to supporting those affected by dementia through vital care, research, and advocacy. Their pioneering work in understanding, diagnosing, and treating dementia is transforming lives across the country.
How You Can Help:
We invite you to support our cause by donating to our fundraising campaign. Every contribution, big or small, brings us one step closer to a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. Your support will not only motivate us on our cycling journey but also help the Alzheimer’s Society continue its work for those affected by dementia.
Donate today and with every pedal along the way we can help support Alzheimer’s Society to give vital support to those who need it most, and fund groundbreaking research to transform the future for everyone living with dementia.
Thank you for your kind generosity!
