Run to the World Cup: Every Step Counts - Entourage Sport X CALM
Football is at the heart of what we do. It’s our passion, our business, and our common language. But right now, we’re running for something far bigger.
We’ve set ourselves a challenge: to run 8,850 kilometres - the distance from London to Mexico City - before the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Not just for fitness, but for hope. Because every 90 minutes (the length of a football match) someone in the UK dies by suicide.
One game. One life lost.
This is more than a team challenge. It’s a cause that hits close to home. In our industry - and in sport more broadly - the pressure to perform can be overwhelming, and mental health struggles often go unseen. The bravest battles are the ones fought in silence.
So we’re running in support of CALM - the Campaign Against Living Miserably - a charity working tirelessly to change this.
CALM stands on the frontline of suicide prevention. They run a life-saving, anonymous helpline open from 5pm to midnight every day, with someone reaching out to CALM every 59 seconds. Their trained staff offer real, practical support to people facing life’s toughest moments. And their campaigns challenge outdated stereotypes, break down stigma, and start life-changing conversations.
But they can’t do it alone.
Suicide is the leading cause of death for 15–39 year olds in the UK. It’s the biggest killer of men under 50. 1 in 5 of us will experience suicidal thoughts in our lifetime - and yet suicide remains one of the most preventable causes of death.
CALM’s work is saving lives. But they need your help.
How You Can Help:
1. Donate.
Just £12.20 funds a call to CALM’s helpline - a call that could change, or save, a life. Every donation supports their vital services and campaigns.
2. Join the Run.
We’ve opened our Strava group to anyone who wants to get involved. Whether you’re racking up solo miles or joining our team walks, every step pushes us closer to our 8,850 KM goal - and helps spread a powerful message of support and solidarity.
3. Share the Message.
Suicide affects more people than we realise. Someone in the UK dies by suicide every 90 minutes. Someone attempts suicide every 3 minutes. 80% of survivors believe their attempt could have been prevented. Talking saves lives - and the more people we can reach, the more lives we can help protect.
We’re running for the teammates, colleagues, friends, and family who might be struggling in silence.
Let’s keep the conversation going. Let’s run for something that matters.
Join the movement. Back the mission. Let's Run to the World Cup.
