Story
We are participating in the 30 Mile Three Towers Walk on June 22, 2024, to raise money for Sam's Gift. Our goal is to raise £3,500 to support teenagers and young adults who have been diagnosed with cancer. We understand that cancer is difficult at any age, but as a teenager or young adult, you have a unique perspective on what life should hold ahead. It's important to us that these young individuals have the resources and support they need during their journey.
In addition to supporting teenagers and young adults with cancer, we also want to shine a light on children whose parents are receiving end-of-life care. This is a vital area that deserves attention and compassion. Sam's Gift has created Journey Boxes after the death of Sam Nicholls at age 22.
These boxes provide a private and tangible space for those who get the boxes to express their thoughts and feelings while preoccupying their minds.
Sam's Gift also provides additional support at The Christie by supplying iPads, games consoles, and other items. The money we raise will go directly towards helping these individuals in need.
We are grateful for any contribution you can make towards our target amount of £3,500. Your support will make a significant impact in the lives of teenagers, young adults, and children facing challenging circumstances. Together, let's bring hope and comfort to those who need it most.
Our mission? To conquer 30 miles around three of Lancashire's most iconic towers: Peel Tower, Rivington Pike, and Darwen Tower. But this isn't just about the distance—it's about coming together, having a blast, and making a real difference in the lives of those who need it most.
