Story
This fundraiser is dedicated to my dear uncle, Shoaib Oosman.
My uncle was an amazing person, full of energy, positivity, love and kindness. He had a sharp sense of humour, a mind always ready for a good debate and a heart that embraced everyone around him. His knowledge of the world was exceptional, enriched by his travels and his deep appreciation of God’s creation.
One of his lifelong dreams was to build something meaningful for the community that would benefit generations to come. That dream came true when he helped establish The Iron Aid Foundation and just a couple of years ago the foundation raised enough funds to purchase a mosque to serve the local community.
His commitment as a trustee to the foundation never wavered, even after his diagnosis ten months ago. Throughout his illness he remained positive and steadfast in his faith, drawing strength from his family, friends and community.
Sadly, we lost him far too soon. His passing has left the biggest gap in our hearts that can never be filled, but his dream will live on.
This fundraiser is about keeping his legacy alive. All donations will go towards the ongoing repair and maintenance of the mosque, a sacred space that brings people together, fosters learning and supports the community.
To honour him, I’ll be running:-
👉🏽10 kilometres each day for 10 days in his memory. Starting 1st July 2025.
These 10 days represent the 10 months he bravely faced his illness, with unwavering strength, faith, and courage.
Please help support this cause. Your contribution will not only sustain a place of worship and community but will also continue the beautiful work that my uncle and his fellow trustees began together.
May Allah (SWT) grant him the highest place in Jannah.
Thank you in advance for your support 💜
