“Pride of Yorkshire Lion Cub”

on 12 June 2026

We support the thousands of patients and families at Sheffield Children’s, from across the UK and beyond, by funding the life-changing and the joy-sparking. We make clinical care kinder, and bad days brighter. We bring play, laughter and comfort to places where they’re needed the most.

The project celebrates the hospital's 150th anniversary, with the decorated cub set to be displayed in a public art trail from June to September 2026 before returning to the school.

Our Lion Cub will be on the Pride of Yorkshire Sculpture Trail this summer. This will be situated in the Glass Pavilions at the Botanical Gardens, Clarkehouse Road, Sheffield, S10 2LN from the 8th June to 7th September for all to see!

There will be physical trail maps available for purchase in venues across the region as well as a digital app for you to collect all the sculptures you find on the trail!

All money raised from this project will be going towards the redevelopment of the Emergency Department at Sheffield Children’s Hospital. You can read the full story on how you are making a difference here: https://prideofyorkshire.org/what-is-the-trail-going-to-fund/
