I am not a runner but this July I am running for a cause very dear to my heart, Turkiye Mozaik Foundation's Climate Action Fund.

Some of my most treasured memories are of summers in our garden with my father. He taught me the Latin names of trees, not as a lesson but as an act of love. Through my parents, I grew up understanding that nature isn't a backdrop to our lives. It is our life.

Even now when the world feels too loud or too heavy, I feel the calmest and happiest among trees. That feeling of calm, of belonging is something I wish everyone could access, forever.

Unlike us, nature has no voice. Nature cannot lobby for itself, protest, or vote. We make every decision on its behalf and right now, we are failing it. Only 2–3% of global philanthropy goes towards protecting the environment, even though our food, our water, our medicines, and our very survival depend on it.

This is why I'm raising funds for Türkiye Mozaik Foundation's Climate Action Fund, a cause that is deeply personal to me and urgently needed by all of us. Every contribution, however small, is a vote for the world we want to live in.
