May the Fourth Be With You Marathon Day: Fishergate Primary School · 4 May 2023

The number of people diagnosed with cancer is growing, we're doing whatever it takes to help more people with cancer get the best care the UK has to offer, whoever and wherever they are. To donate, volunteer, raise money or campaign with us, call 0300 1000 200 or visit macmillan.org.uk

Story

Thanks for supporting our fundraising. Every 4th May our school takes part in a marathon run. Every pupil in school will have the opportunity to run a mile with our Headteacher, Tina Clarke (who will be running all day). Through this run, we support a different charity each year.

This year the School Council has decided to ask everyone to support the amazing Macmillan charity. Macmillan gives people with cancer everything they’ve got. If you’re diagnosed, your worries are Macmillan’s worries. Macmillan’s doing whatever it takes. But without your help, Macmillan can’t support everyone who needs them.

Any donation you can give is much appreciated. We all know someone who has been affected by cancer and having a charity like Macmillan there to support those people and their families is priceless. Anything we raise through this marathon day will support their work.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and secure. Your details are safe, JustGiving - they'll never sell them or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs.
