Story
Each year, Movement Collective Pilates and Education tries to give back to the local community by running a series of donation based classes or events.
This year we have aligned with Body Organics Education, A Brisbane based Pilates studio and Pilates course provider who we are proudly affiliated with to help host as a live stream support studio for Carla Mullins "Shouldering the Burden" workshop. This workshop will award you 2 PDP points with the Pilates Association Australia (PAA) for its members and you will leave with a solid understanding of how to work with the shoulder in a studio setting.
We will also be hosting a series of donation based community classes to help fundraise for Women's and girls emergency centre in Redfern.
With Domestic Violence against Women becoming a national crisis we would like to try and help the 1 in 5 women who experience some form of domestic or sexual violence against them and try to make their Christmas that tiny bit better.
In 2023, 64 women lost were killed due to domestic violence. Currently one woman dies every four days at the hands of another man. Read that again.
Proof of donation is required for entry to each class.
