Story
I am taking part in the Swim 6km in May for the Motor Neurone Disease Association.
The work that the MNDa does for families affected by MND is absolutely amazing - in one day hoping to find a cure.
As many of you are aware my dad was diagnosed with MND just over 3 years ago, which has been incredibly hard for not only him but the entire family.
Last year I completed the London to Brighton 100km walk which was so incredibly difficult, but with the support of one of my best friends and all of the walkers and runners I met on the way, the journey was just about bearable. ( my feet were in PAIN) However, the main reason I was able to carry on though was remembering the difference that the MNDa makes on so many families like mine.
I have decided this year to do the swim 6k in May, which although is not nearly as far as the distance I did last year, the donations still make such a difference!
I will be posting updates and training for this on my socials!
This will be the last charity event that I will be able to do for the MNDa whilst my dad is still with us and I want to have as many donations as possible as one last thing for him to be proud of me for.
Unfortunately on the 2nd April 25’ my dad passed away from this awful disease but I’m still going ahead for the challenge to try to help as many other families like mine.
All donations are massively appreciated!!
Thank you for your support,
Erin x
