At just 20 years old, my best friend Amy was diagnosed with stage 4 non-smoking lung cancer. This devastating news has ignited a passion within me to make a difference and support the UK charity Oncogene Cancer Research, founded by her mother. The mission of this charity is to raise vital funds for groundbreaking research that can help not only my friend but countless others facing similar battles.

In an effort to contribute, I have teamed up with my Cousin Chloe, to take on the Bath Two Tunnels 10K race on August 17, 2025. I have never run further than 5k and generally have little experience in running, so have recruited Chloe to cross the finish line with. We are committed to this personal challenge as well as our financial goal of raising £500 for this incredible charity. Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer-related deaths worldwide and remains one of the least researched cancers, resulting in particularly poor outcomes for patients.
