For my birthday this year, I’d love to do something a little different and raise money for Book Aid International.

Books have shaped my life in every possible way. I’m a historian, a librarian, and someone who believes deeply in the power of stories, education, and access to knowledge. Book Aid International works all over the world to get books into the hands of people who need them most, supporting libraries, schools, refugee camps, and community spaces in places where books are often scarce.

A book can be a lifeline. It can mean education, comfort, imagination, and the chance to see a bigger world. By supporting Book Aid International, you’re helping build libraries, support readers, and give people the tools to learn, grow, and tell their own stories.
