Diva to Angel is an independent performance project established in memory of Gizell Timpani 1969 - 2023, an entirely unique talent in the genre of contemporary UK female vocalists.

Gizell will be remembered not only as a well-loved singer with lyrical and sassy voice, based in the North West of England, but also as her alter ego Valentino King, who established a thriving Drag King community in Canal Street Manchester.

Gizell tragically passed away in July this year, and will be deeply missed by countless people whose lives were changed for the better by her presence. Thankfully she has left us with a number of her favourite songs that she recorded some years ago, and will be digitally preserved forever.

Singer Esme Sallnow, whose own artistic development was profoundly influenced by Gizell, now performs alongside Gizell's recorded vocals, so that many more people can continue to enjoy the legacy of this remarkable voice and lady. In coming months and years, these performances will be independently touring the North West for the public to enjoy, and can be seen in both live and digital form.

Gizell bravely struggled with bipolar disorder throughout her life. Diva to Angel aims to raise awareness for all those living with bipolar disorder, and their loved ones supporting them. Therefore there could be no worthier cause to donate to in her memory than Bipolar UK, which all proceeds raised by these performances go to.

Diva to Angel is a loving tribute to Gizell for what she never stopped giving and will endure eternally: Her heart and her voice.
