Story
I decided to celebrate a break from exams by signing up for a 117 km ultramarathon...up and down a volcanic island in the mid-Atlantic, with two (foolish) friends.
I am running this as a personal challenge and to raise money for Changing Faces - a UK charity for everyone who has a mark, scar or condition that makes them look different.
Being different in a society where there is such pressure to look a certain way is tough. Changing Faces are a fantastic charity whom provide advice and support, challenge discrimination, and campaign for a world that respects difference.
Our run will see us climb over 4000 metres of mountain trails over two days (over 3 x height of Ben Nevis!). It will be tough and any sponsorship will be greatly appreciated to help me push through to the end!
