Story
This last 2 years have been the toughest years of my life. My own cancer journey has been extremely hard, with moments of real uncertainty, but throughout it all I’ve tried to hold on to hope and stay positive. Only time will tell how successful the treatment has been. In the meantime we are choosing to live as normally as possible, focusing on the good, the everyday, and the things that truly matter.
Against this backdrop, we were incredibly honoured to become Charity Ambassadors for Hope Against Cancer this year. It’s a cause that now feels very personal to us, and being able to give something back has been both humbling and healing. Earlier this month we raised £400 by organising a wreath-making workshop, kindly supported by my talented florist friend, Sara Mudhur. We’ve also been involved in the Christmas “Gift the Gift of Hope” campaign, helping to spread awareness during such a meaningful time of year.
We set ourselves a goal of raising £1,000 for the charity this year, and every step towards that target feels like a small but important victory. As part of this, we’ve decided not to send Christmas cards this year, choosing instead to donate what we would normally spend on cards and postage directly to Hope Against Cancer.
We’d love to help spread the word. If you feel able to donate a little to support this incredible charity, we would be deeply grateful. Every donation, no matter the size, truly helps—and gives hope where it’s needed most.
