I am raising money in honour of my Bat Mitzvah for Leket Israel, Israel's National Food Bank. I volunteered at their headquarters in Netanya this past summer and saw their work!

Leket Israel rescues healthy, surplus food from hotels, corporations and the IDF, as well as surplus produce from farms and delivers it to over 263 partner nonprofit organizations, thereby reaching almost 250,000 needy Israelis per week!

Here are some of Leket Israel’s highlights in 2022:

The rescue of 26,500 tons of fresh produce from the farming sector

The rescue or purchase of 1.9 million hot meals from the catering sector and the IDF

Preparation of 260,000 liters of frozen soup using excess vegetables
