Gala

We are dedicated to improving the quality of life and chances of survival for young cancer patients aged 13-24. We fund and build specialist units in NHS hospitals and provide dedicated staff, bringing young people together so they can be treated by teenage cancer experts in the best place for them.

Story

Hi all,

It is with a heavy heart that I announce the focus of my October 2025 charity gala.

The Eternally Seventeen Gala is in the memory, in the love and the honor of my best friend, who was taken by cancer far too soon—just seventeen, with a lifetime ahead of her.

Though we may never again feel her warmth, fierce loyalty, or strength, she lives on in the moments we shared—the cakes we baked, the walks we took, and the laughter that once filled the streets.

Her battle was long and cruel, with little relief. Yet, in those months beneath harsh hospital lights, the Teenage Cancer Trust became her lifeline, surrounding her with understanding, friendship, and moments of light in the darkest times. They gave her a support network of young adults who could understand what it feels like to hear ‘you have cancer’ at such a young age.

As I prepare for this event, I can’t help but think of the milestones she and so many others will never reach. It’s a painful reminder of life’s fragility, but through the Teenage Cancer Trust, we have the chance to help them create moments of joy, laughter, and meaning—giving them the opportunity to live the lives they deserve, despite the challenges they face.

Her battle was lost, but her memory lives on—eternally—with those who love her, speak her name, and celebrate her light.

I hope you’ll join me in making a difference—in her name, and for so many others who deserve more time.
