Robin Hood Half Marathon · 29 September 2024 ·

We‘re the world‘s leading cancer charity dedicated to saving and improving lives through research. We fund research into the prevention, detection and treatment of more than 200 types of cancer through the work of over 4,000 scientists, doctors and nurses.

Story

With 1 in 2 people developing cancer in their lifetimes, we have all been impacted by this disease. We are running the Robin Hood Half Marathon on 29th September 2024 to raise money for Cancer Research UK.

The Robin Hood Half Marathon is one of the longest established and most popular city centre road events in the UK. It is also the largest charity fundraising event in the city, raising over £330,000 for charity in 2019.

Ethan:

“After losing my Grandad to cancer in 2023, I really want to raise as much money as possible to give a little back to those who played a part in his treatment and care.”

Bradley:

“We all have friends or family who have had a battle, or lost their battle, with cancer. The impact on people’s lives can be devastating so it’s important to do as much as possible to support causes like Cancer Research UK.”

Cancer Research UK funds scientists, doctors and nurses to help beat cancer. This page has been set up in aid of this amazing charity to both raise awareness and funds to those who work tirelessly to fight and, care for those with cancer.

Every step towards curing cancer relies on every pound, every hour and every person so, the smallest donation can make a difference. Giving something, if you can, would be hugely appreciated.

See you in the pub after! 🍺
