Story
I'm taking on the challenge of climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in August, and all being well will summitt on 26th August. It's a personal adventure and something I've wanted to do for a long time, but I thought it would also be a great opportunity to raise money for a cause close to my heart.
Anyone who knows me knows how much I love dogs. My own dog has had an enormous positive impact on my life – getting me outdoors every day, improving my routines, keeping me active and bringing endless companionship. Quite simply, life is better with a dog by your side.
Sadly, not every dog is lucky enough to have a safe and loving home. That's why I'm supporting Doggy Dens UK Rescue, a Nottinghamshire-based charity that has spent more than seven years rescuing dogs and has helped rehome over 2,000 of them into loving families. They provide care, rehabilitation and a second chance for dogs that have often had a difficult start in life.
I've always believed that dogs bring out the best in us. They're loyal, resilient, forgiving and full of unconditional love. Every dog deserves the opportunity to experience a happy life and a place to call home.
So, while I make my way up Africa's highest mountain, I'd be incredibly grateful if you could help me support the amazing work Doggy Dens UK Rescue does every day.
Every donation, no matter the size, will help give more dogs the care, safety and future they deserve.
