Story
On the 11th march 2024 I found out my brother had unexpectedly passed away, since then it has turned my life and my families upside down. To go to work one day thinking everything is normal, to then come home and never feel normal again is something no one should ever have to go through.
I want to run this marathon to honour my late brother Harley Prodger, to make him proud. This marathon for me is a massive step out of my comfort zone and I want to be able to show anyone who might go through what I have been through, that anything is possible.
Losing my brother has had a massive impact on my mental and physical health, so this year I want to overcome the adversity we’ve felt this last year, and help inspire anyone who might be struggling.
Over the course of the next year I want to throw multiple different events to raise money for the brain tumour charity, in the hope that one day a family won’t have to hear the news that we re-live in our minds everyday.
The Brain Tumour Charity is the world's leading brain tumour charity and the largest dedicated funder of research into brain tumours globally. Committed to saving and improving lives, we're moving further, faster to help every single person affected by a brain tumour.
We're set on finding new treatments, offering the highest level of support and driving urgent change. And we're doing it right now. Because we understand that when you, or someone you love, is diagnosed with a brain tumour a cure really can't wait.
