We have set up this Just Giving page in loving memory of our dearest Eugenie, who passed away in February after so courageously living with Ewing Sarcoma, a rare form of bone cancer, for two years.

We hope to raise funds for the Bone Cancer Research Trust (BCRT), who fund vital research into the causes and treatment of bone cancer, which most commonly affects young people. Very importantly, BCRT also promotes awareness campaigns for healthcare professionals, informing them of the early warning signs of bone cancer in patients presenting with persistent bone pain.

Eugenie always lived so beautifully, but since her diagnosis in March 2024 this took on new meaning and also challenges which she took in her stride so graciously during a long period as an inpatient and then with continuous interruptions to life for chemotherapy, radiotherapy, admissions to A&E, scans, physio and doctors' appointments. Ever smiling and maintaining a positive outlook she kept everyone around her in the present moment with her, enjoying all that we could together.

To launch the fundraising, on 21st June, on what would be Eugenie's 24th birthday and also this year Father’s Day, Tim, Eugenie's father, is once again taking on the London to Brighton bike ride. We want to celebrate on this day our dearest Eugenie and her courage, her determination, joy and grace and all that she brought to all of our lives.

We want to thank, so very much, all those friends, family, neighbours and community who have supported us these past months. Your beautiful, heartfelt tributes and condolences for Eugenie, flowers, cakes and warm meals have provided us all with such strength.
