Story
Join me as I dare to journey, going the same distance a refugee would have to travel to escape the conflict. Through this challenge, I will be helping to raise awareness and advocate for their rights. At least 89.3 million people worldwide have been forced to flee their homes.
I have chosen to travel the distance of the route taken by refugees fleeing from Kabul to the border with Pakistan - a distance of 184km. On average, 1,490,562 people made this journey in 2021. Over the month of January, I plan to walk this distance, joined along the way by family and friends. I would really appreciate your prayerful support and any financial contribution you can afford to give - even the smallest donation can make a big difference!
For example, £12 could provide a family in Iraq with a vital hygiene kit including soap, antiseptic, toothpaste, sanitary towels, shampoo and washing powder.
Or, in Afghanistan, £50 could provide food for a family for 45 days, therefore by reaching my target of £300, 6 families could receive this vital aid.
Thank you so much for your support!
Blessings, Eva
