Eva's running through the wall - Running the London Marathon 2026 for Stonewall

Eva-Maria Graefe is raising money for Stonewall

London Marathon 2026 · 26 April 2026 ·

Our vision is of a world where everyone, everywhere has equal rights. We will work until every person who is Lesbian, Gay, Bi, Trans, Queer + is living free from discrimination, prejudice and inequality, making our shared future safer, fairer and more prosperous.

Story

This is my first attempt at the London marathon, and I am running to raise funds for Stonewall.

I feel strongly about the need to fight for and protect everyone's right to be who they are and to love whom they choose. I have many friends and colleagues who are part of the LGBTQ+ community, and I am very concerned about global and local developments moving in a backwards direction on LGBTQ+ right and inclusion (and indeed on equality and diversity on the whole). I hope I can use the occasion of the London Marathon to make a small contribution to help to fight for and protect LGBTQ+ rights and support LGBTQ+ people.

In case you'd like to come out and cheer me on: You'll find me towards the back of the pack, dreaming to finish in 4 hours 30 minutes.

About Stonewall:

At Stonewall, we stand for lesbian, gay, bi, trans, queer, questioning and ace (LGBTQ+) people everywhere. We imagine a world where all LGBTQ+ people are free to be ourselves and can live our lives to the full.
