Prostate Cancer UK has a simple ambition - to stop men dying from prostate cancer. Through shifting the science over the next 10 years to focus on radical improvements in diagnosis, treatment, prevention, and support, we will stop prostate cancer being a killer.

Story

I’m currently taking on a bold / mental schedule of races and challenges to raise as much money and awareness as possible for a charity close to our family’s hearts - Prostate Cancer UK

I’m taking part in lots of races including 5 marathons plus a 100km ultra marathon 😬 schedule below

The reason for taking on this challenge is to raise vital awareness of an awful disease that my Dad was diagnosed with last year. Thankfully since he’s as tough as old boots he had major surgery in November and this week got the all clear! But we want to raise as much money as possible to help fund vital research.

Schedule:

13/09 - Great North Run

27/09 - Warsaw Marathon

04/10 - Kielder Marathon

18/10 - Yorkshire Marathon

2027

18/04 - Manchester Marathon

25/04 - TCS London Marathon (first major)

Completed so far are:

23/11 - Sunderland 10km ✅

21/12 - Town Moor 10km ✅

17/01 - Newcastle 10km ✅

15/02 - Newcastle Valentines Half Marathon ✅

01/03 - Middlesbrough Half Marathon ✅

22/03 - Rome Marathon ✅

05/04 - Leeds Half Marathon✅

26/04 - Blackpool Half Marathon✅

03/05 - Newcastle/Gateshead Half Marathon✅

10/05 - Leeds Marathon✅

17/05 - Sunderland Half Marathon✅

24/05 - Edinburgh Marathon✅

20/06 - North Yorks 100km Ultra Marathon✅

12/07 - Newcastle Half Marathon✅

10/08 - Golf’s longest day (4 rounds in a day)✅

Prostate cancer affects 1 in 8 men in the UK. That's one dad, partner, brother, or mate. I'm raising money to help fund lifesaving research and support for men and their families affected by prostate cancer.
