Story
A life is lost by suicide every 90 minutes in the UK alone.
I am raising funds for Samaritans because their work saves lives.
'Many people find it hard to speak openly or ask for help, but talking can be life-saving – whether it’s with a colleague, a family member, friend or a helpline like Samaritans. Every 10 seconds, Samaritans volunteers respond to a call for help. Samaritans are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, to listen and support people with whatever they are facing, with no judgement. It’s the public’s kind donations and around 23,000 volunteers that mean Samaritans are always there for anyone struggling to cope. Thank you for your help.'
Everyone struggles and life often hits people while they're down. When someone gets to the lowest of their lows it feels like there are no options left and people make drastic decisions. If I hadn't had the support network I have in my life then I would have made a drastic decision too. Samaritans do not nearly get the funding they deserve for the mission they pursue. Every donation helps keep this organisation running.
I understand not everyone is flushed for cash at the moment but if you can spare anything, everything is appreciated.
