As a member of the LGBT+ community, I've personally faced judgment, abuse, and the fear of not being safe simply for being myself.

Since coming out, I have had an amazing, supportive family which accepted me for who I am, no matter what. But what if this wasn't the case? So many LGBT + young people and adults don't have safe spaces to be who they are. They are in dangerous households or surrounded by people who don't accept them. I can only imagine how much safer and supported they would feel if services like LGBT Health had been available for them.

LGBT Health offers far more than just support, it provides a safe, welcoming community for LGBT+ individuals, which is something many of us don't have access to. We are at risk of discrimination, harassment, and violence on a daily basis, and having a space where we can find support, connect with others, and feel safe is priceless. LGBT Health offers just that - a system where people can be themselves without fear of judgment or danger. This is why raising funds for this charity is so close to my heart. It's about creating a community where no one has to feel alone or unsafe simply for being who they are.

To raise money for this important cause, over the next few months, I’m running a community-led fundraising and awareness campaign in support of LGBT Health and Wellbeing, with 100% of funds donated directly to the charity.
